| The Frankenstein Horror Series is a group of entirely new stories that follow the fates of the primal monsters and their heirs, as they re-emerge from the Pit of the Unknown, the Unspeakable, and the Undead. This was the legend of the Curse of Quintana Roo: the Mayan netherworld had nine descending stages—each worse than the one preceding and each occupied by an appropriate hellfiend. The bottom and most feared stage was that of the terrible and terrifying hellfiend Rahu. It was said that if the curse of Rahu fell upon anyone, that person immediately committed suicide—that it was the only way the curse could be removed from a person’s soul. |
